Sila & The AfroFunk Experience sono la folgorante funk band capitanata dal cantante Sila, nativo del Kenya e trasferitosi a San Francisco nel 1996. Sila incarna la nuova generazione di artisti conscious africani cresciuti con un orecchio rivolto a James Brown e l’altro a Fela Kuti. Nel suo ultimo disco,

“Black President”, aggiunge al pantheon dei suoi idoli anche il “kenyano” Barack Obama. Assieme agli AfroFunk Experience dà vita ad una portentosa miscela ritmica che trova nella dimensione live il suo naturale compimento.
